About Blue Bell Camp
Philosophy
Enrolling a child in a summer camp can be an integral part of his or her development and education. Our campers learn over 20 activities in an atmosphere that promotes confidence, independence, and leadership and provides a well-rounded experience. Offering instruction in many different activities allows each child to gain knowledge in multiple areas and gives them the ability to specialize in the future. We feel it is essential to set the foundation for children to be prepared for a variety of choices following their formative elementary school years.
Blue Bell Camp provides a traditional and wholesome day camp experience that builds skills while de-emphasizing competition. All of the activities we offer, both athletic and creative, are a wonderful vehicle for children to learn values such as teamwork, self-esteem, integrity, manners, and sportsmanship in a fun and safe environment. Our goal is for our campers to come away from the summer having improved not just their physical skills, but their character, personal growth, and development.
Facility
Blue Bell Camp is located in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania on fifteen magnificent, highly shaded acres that are reminiscent of a picturesque New England overnight camp. We have creeks winding through camp, well-manicured playing fields, a 6-hole golf course, mahogany cabins, and a heated swimming pool. In addition to the menagerie of animals in our Nature House, camp is home to many other animals including a pond full of fish, frogs, turtles, and ducks, and an aviary that is home to beautifully colored peacocks and chickens. Campers and counselors gather together for announcements and lunch at the picnic tables in our Grove under the shade of towering maple trees. At Blue Bell, campers will spend their time outdoors learning to respect and appreciate their natural surroundings.
